他是深受上海美高双语学校学生喜爱的生物老师，在2016暑期桥梁课程中就已和大部分学生见过面了，带领孩子们一起做实验、一起用快乐的方式学习深奥难懂的生物知识。他就是阳光帅气的生物老师——Oleksandr Kalinichenko老师!

教育背景

I graduated Poltava State Agrarian Academy and got my major in the field of agricultural medicine. Already during studying I started my teaching practice. After graduation, I worked as a teacher. I always liked to teach, I always knew what will be interesting for students and how I can gain their attention.

我毕业于波尔塔瓦州立农业学院，并且我的专业是农业医学领域。我在学习期间我开始了我的教学实践，毕业后成为了一名教师。我一直很喜欢教学，我总是知道对学生来说什么是有趣的，以及如何吸引他们的注意力。

A year later, I changed my place of work, and began teaching biology in a specialized high school, which prepares students for admission to medical schools around the world. Most importantly, it was the same high school, where, prior to admission to the academy I studied, it was one of the reasons why I started working there.

一年后，我换了工作，开始在一所专门培养学生进入世界优秀医学院的高中教授生物。更重要的是，这就是我在念大学前读的一所高中，这是为什么我选择在那里工作的一个原因。

我为什么选择成为老师

One day, my teacher said to me, "In this world, all professions are important and indispensable, but among them there are 2 on my opinion the most noble - a doctor and a teacher," Now, many years later, I can proudly say that treat both. But the teacher's path was closer to me, because that's how I can help the future and influence it, which is a big responsibility and I accept it.

My teacher's philosophy is very similar to the medical Hippocratic Oath. First of all, "The teacher has to teach himself" - every day throughout life, to share knowledge effectively, I have to acquire and update it regular, because science does not static, always moves forward and I am a Science Teacher. And second, "Do no harm" - students rely heavily on their teacher, and sometimes far beyond lessons, no matter what subject you teach, you teach people to see the world, understand the world and ourselves, and their future and destiny often depend on your words.

教学风格

I always give my students to understand the importance of their own work, I teach how to make a choice on their own, open their mind and leave it opened for the rest of their life. My job as a teacher is to give students the opportunity to do even the wrong choice and to mitigate its effects, to explain why it happened and to teach how to prevent this in the future.

我总是会让我的学生们理解自己学业的重要性，教导他们如何自己做出选择，开拓他们的思维，并且一直保持这种开放的思想。作为一名教师，我的工作是给学生机会，甚至给他们犯错的机会，我要做的就是去减轻其影响，去解释为什么会这样，并教导他们以后如何防止错误的发生。
