Elizabeth老师毕业于美国新泽西州的西顿霍尔大学，在大学期间，选修了国际关系与现代语言两门专业，并获得了双学士学位。除此之外，她还在密苏里大学取得了科学经济学的学士学位。来到上海之后，又进入霍特国际商学院深造，并获得了国际商务的硕士学位。

我为什么选择成为老师

There's a lot I love about being a teacher. Teaching is a profession that keeps your heart young, and your mind active with learning. Each school year brings new people into your life. Each unit and lesson brings new perspectives. Each failure, when looked at formatively, can help you solve new problems. Each success, when used reflectively, can be even greater the next time. Students grow only by challenging themselves with situations, courses and concepts that are not familiar to them.

教学经验

As a math teacher and math student, I have heard many times from students that they are just bad in math, and numbers make no sense to them. Every single student can excel in math – at a high level. Math is a like a staircase; each mathematical concept builds on itself to reach a higher level. My classes focus on concept learning and assessment.

作为一个数学老师和数学学习者，我很多次都听到学生说，他们只是不擅长数学，无法对数学产生兴趣。其实每个学生可以擅长数学并达到一个较高的水平。数学像一个楼梯，每个数学概念都建立在已学的知识上来达到一个更高的水平。我的课程设计主要集中在概念学习和评估上。课程安排I also teach Computer Science where we focus, first, on the fundamentals of Digital Citizenship like Internet Security & Safety, Digital Drama, Self-Image & Identity, and Ethics as well as the computer fundamentals that will prepare them for college and their first job.

Technology is a permanent part of students lives now and in the future. As a teacher I want them to be able to use technology to their advantage, not become overwhelmed by it or hurt by it.
