学历背景

My name is Anna V. Trukhachova.I did a five-year full-time course at a teachers’ training institute based in Russia from which I obtained a joint Specialist’s degree. My majors were English and Methods of teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), my minor was Russian.my minor was Russian. I am an associate professor, and I hold a PhD diploma in Linguistics (Germanic languages).

我的名字叫Anna V. Trukhachova。曾在俄罗斯的一所教师培训学院接受了为期五年的全日制学习，并最终获得了双学士学位(教育/语言学专家)。在这期间，英语是我的主修专业，俄语是辅修专业。在此后的教学生涯里，我被评为副教授，还获得了日耳曼语言的博士文凭。

As a college student, I completed a one-year course in English Literature both British and American. In addition to that, I taught a practical course of philological analysis of English literature to undergraduate and graduate students for ten years, which makes me comfortable with and efficient in helping students become sophisticated readers, ready to pass an AP Literature and Composition or any other similar exam successfully, provided that they put their best effort into it. I am knowledgeable about different areas of language theory and methods and techniques of teaching, which makes the learning process easier for students. As an associate professor I have gained valuable experience of giving lectures in English Lexicology and Theory of Meaning at a university level. I believe my broad educational and professional background will come in handy in the classroom.

I am a qualified and certificated English teacher with nineteen years’ teaching experience.I have extensive experience of teaching ESL to college students both in Russia and China. Last academic year, for the first time, I was offered a tremendous opportunity to teach an advanced course of English Literature to high school students in Shanghai.

我是一个有十九年教学经验的英语老师。我在教授中国以及俄罗斯大学生ESL课程上有着丰富的经验。在上一个学年，我受邀于上海美高学校，教授高中生英文文学课程。

课程安排

I will be teaching American Literature and Creative Writing to Grade 11, and AP English Literature and Composition to Grade 12 this academic year at Living Word Shanghai.

这学期我将在美高学校教授11年级学生美国文学以及写作课程，并教授12年级学生英国文学及写作课程。

教学理念

It is common knowledge that learning is a physiological activity, involving the whole body. Students learn best by doing, that’s why they need to be active participants in learning. In my class, I try to engage all the senses to help students process information and allow more cognitive connections and associations to be made with a concept. Active learning along with engaging all the students’ senses ensures that students transfer and internalize what they have learned.

众所周知，学习是一种生理活动，需要全身心的投入。学生只有通过不断的实践才能学到更多，这就是为什么他们需要积极的参与到学习中去。在我的课堂上，我希望调动所有感官，去帮助学生处理信息，并教会他们举一反三，将知识融会贯通。通过这种学习方式，确保学生充分理解和吸收所学的知识。

I am a strong proponent of experiential learning. It engages students in critical thinking, problem solving and decision making in contexts that are personally relevant to them.
