上海美高学校的道德法治课是贯穿一年级到九年级的必修课程，主旨是培养学生良好的道德素养、健全人格、法律知识和爱国情操。在本学期初中部的道法课中，张婷老师举办了许多课堂活动，引导学生搜集资料和思考社会议题。现在跟着小编来直击本学期的美高课堂吧!

“Morality and Law” is a required course for Grade 1 through Grade 9. Its purpose is to cultivate moral quality, sound personality, knowledge about law, and patriotism. In this semester, the teacher of the Middle School classes, Tina Zhang, organized many class activities, to guide students search information and think about social issues. 小组报告：调改革开放前后人们衣食住行的变化活动目的：深入日常生活，更好的理解改革开放的重要性和意义。

Group presentation: Changes of People’s Life after the Reform and Opening (Gaigekaifang).

Purpose: Guiding students to better understand the importance and meaning of Reform and Opening.

班级辩论赛《创新知识与大众的幸福生活有无关系?》

活动目的：使学生更深入的理解创新的重要性。

Class debate: Whether innovative knowledge has any connection to well-being of the public? Purpose: Guiding students to deeply understand the importance of innovation

双方学生的论点摘要如下：

正方观点：创新知识满足个人兴趣，与大众的幸福生活有关。

论据：科技的发展方便了我们，例如电子产品，武器的制造也是为了现在的和平，能让我们感到幸福。

反方观点：创新知识满足个人兴趣，与大众的幸福生活无关。

论据：垃圾分类以及其他创新与幸福生活无关，让生活更加麻烦。核弹以及武器的制造更是破坏了世界的和平。老一辈在以前的时代虽然没有创新带来的科技发展，但一样很幸福，由此可见创新与幸福无关。

Arguments of both sides are summarized below. Side A: Innovative knowledge satisfies individual interests, and is relevant to the well-being of the public.Evidence: The development of innovation gives us benefits, such as electronic products. The production of weapons is for the sake of peace. Hence innovation can enhance our well-being.Side B: Innovative knowledge satisfies individual interests, but is irrelevant to the well-being of the public.Evidence: Trash classification and other innovations are irrelevant to people’s well-being, but makes life more troublesome. Nuclear weapons damage the peace of the world. Older generations did not have scientific development brought by innovation, but still enjoyed well-being. Therefore, innovation has nothing to do with well-being.
