2018年12月7日，上海美高双语学校的同学们为了更透彻的了解他的一生，来到喜马拉雅美术中心，参观沪上最火爆的拿破仑特展。

On December 7th, LWS high school students visited the Napoleon Exhibition in the Himalayas Art Center.

此次特展将拿破仑跌宕激昂的人生经历、多样而真实的生活面貌，全面系统地展现在所有同学面前。拿破仑创作的绘画、雕塑、拿破仑珍贵手稿、文书、贴身服饰、贵重饰品、军旅用品及家具、日用品等“重头”文物，总数多达185件，数量之多，展品之珍贵，足以令上海美高的学子大饱眼福。

This special exhibition comprehensively andsystematically presents napoleon's exciting life experience, diverse and reallife in front of all students. Napoleon created paintings, sculptures, preciousmanuscripts, documents, personal clothing, precious jewelry, militarysupplies, furniture, daily necessities, and other "important"cultural relics. The total number of 185 pieces are enough to make the Living Word Shanghai students feast their eyes.

首先，进入展厅，映入眼帘的是一个高高耸立的拿破仑雕像。上面长满苔藓泥土，散发出生机勃勃的气息。雕像边上的画作清楚地描绘了拿破仑皇帝的神态。右侧墙上挂着一幅石墨画，画着一只雄狮代表着中国。墙上刻了一句话：“中国是一只睡狮，一旦醒来，整个世界都会为之颤抖。”在中国，拿破仑的这句名言可谓妇孺皆知。

As we entered the gallery, a lofty statue appeared in our sight. It is made of soil, displaying a vigorous spirit. There is a painting beside the statue, in whicha male lion represents China. A quote by Napoleon is engraved beneath thepainting: “China is a sleeping lion, once it wakes up, the whole world will beinfluenced by it.” This quote was famous and known by everyone.

一楼大厅展示了拿破仑在不同时期的雕像和肖像画。向世人展示拿破仑时期的历史变迁、拿破仑其人以及欧洲诸国对他的看法。展览还通过传统文物与当代艺术的并置，利用新媒体影像解读拿破仑的形象、拿破仑自身和其政治、情感、家庭经历中的荣耀与传奇。带领美高学子们进入这场浸入式舞台剧场般的观展之旅。

The first floor hall displays napoleon's statues and portraits at different times.To show the historical changes of napoleon's period, napoleon himself and theviews of European countries on him. Through collocation of traditional culturalrelics and contemporary art, the exhibition uses new media images to interpretnapoleon's image, the glory and legend of napoleon himself and his political,emotional and family experiences. Lead LWS students into this immersivestage-theater tour of the exhibition.

顺着参观路线，来到三色展厅，此处陈列了许多拿破仑当代的器物及画作。同学在此合影留念。从三色展厅的楼上，以更开阔的视野俯视这特展时，拿破仑那光荣却坎坷悲惨的一生似也无余地展现于前。

This room demonstrates objects and paintings of Napoleon’s time. Students took a picture here. When we looked down the exhibitionfrom upstairs, we felt Napoleon's glorious but miserable life.

再向前走，看到了一座乐高颗粒打造的“凯旋门”，据悉，此“凯旋门”由30多人的艺术家和设计师团队历时9天昼夜工作而完成，精细刻画了所有图案和纹饰。按照10：1的比例，还原了这座象征拿破仑时期辉煌的历史丰碑。

We saw a "triumphal arch" made of lego particles. It is reported that this"triumphal arch" was completed by a team of more than 30 artists anddesigners who worked for 9 days and meticulously depicted all the patterns anddecorations. According to the ratio of 10:1, restore the symbol of napoleon'sglorious historical monument.

“拿破仑特展”用当下视角来审视传统，从两百年前拿破仑所处的时代巨变，到21世纪全球化的信息浪潮，中国当代艺术家们以当代视角、中国语境来审视拿破仑，在认知失调的浮躁和虚弱、疲软中呼唤属于这个时代的英雄气质。

"Napoleon exhibition" uses the current angle to view the traditional, from napoleon's age, two hundred years ago to the 21st century wave of informationglobalization, Chinese perspective, to examine Napoleon.

此次美高社会科学周活动，激发了同学们走进拿破仑历史的兴趣，拓宽了学生视野，了解了西方历史，感受了社会科学的多面性。

The social science week of Living Word Shanghai aroused students' interest in Napoleon'shistory, broadened their horizons, understood western history, and felt the multifaceted nature of social science.
