延续往年精彩绝伦的万圣节庆典，2016年上海美高双语学校也将推陈出新，为广大新老生安排别具一格的万圣节活动，引领大家走进西方世界，了解万圣节文化。本次活动由美高学生会策划和执行，感谢他们的辛勤付出为我们丰富的校园生活贡献了宝贵的个人时间，也让我们看到美高学子高效的时间管理和出色的领导力、执行力。

万圣节活动安排

南瓜灯制作请在家里，在父母的帮助下完成雕刻，注意安全。10月31日(周一)不要忘记带来学校参加评比哦!

万圣节庆典

为确保10月31日(周一)万圣节能够圆满顺利地举办，大小朋友们都能have fun，有许多事项是需要家长共同配合完成的哦。

以下为10月31日万圣节庆典时间表：

8：00-8：30 照常到校，进行准备活动

9：35-11：10 万圣节音乐会

11：15-12：35 午餐

13：15-15：35 万圣节园游会

15：40-16：10 颁奖仪式

16：10 走读生准备离校

18：00-20：00 万圣影院(住宿生)

除了万圣节庆典当天丰富多彩的表演和游戏，学校还将设立“南瓜雕刻大赛”以及各个与万圣节相关的奖项，下列奖项希望家长能够帮助、配合自己的孩子共同取得!

以下为万圣节庆典相关奖项及评选机制：

一、南瓜奖(四、五年级)

投票方式：轮 10月31日早上在班级教室由本班学生和老师挑选出3至5个代表作品;第二轮 10月31日下午在体育馆由全校学生投票，从各班优胜者中选出得票最高的前三名。

得票数最高的前三名将获得由学校提供的精美奖品。比赛南瓜由学校提供，请各位家长与自己的孩子协作完成南瓜雕刻，并将作品于10月31日(周一)，带回学校参赛。

二、着装奖(分为小学组、初中组、高中组三个组分别评选)

投票方式：

轮 由评选老师四处巡视并挑选出十名着装最符合节日气氛、最新颖的候选人，男女各五名。

第二轮 由全体学生及老师投票，每人选出一男一女，得票最高的学生胜出。

以上得奖者将会获得精美的奖品一份，和孩子们一起加油，设计新颖的装扮吧!

为了活动顺利进行，请家长配合做好如下工作：

① 确保10月31日(周一)，帮助孩子以“万圣节”为主题着装打扮后来到学校。

② 10月31日(周一)前往校园时，提醒孩子带上自己的“南瓜雕刻“作品来校参加比赛。

以上为本次万圣节庆典活动需要家长配合学校完成的活动内容。在下一周，学校将为陆续给同学们开展万圣节知识小课堂。希望家长能在和孩子沟通后共同完成本次活动计划，谢谢您的配合!

In addition to the various fun and exciting activities planned for students, staff, and parents we will also hold a pumpkin carving contest where people can carve their own pumpkins into wacky shapes and sizes. Prizes will be awarded for the most unique creations!

Halloween Awards and Award Distribution Process：

Best Pumpkin Carving Award (4th and 5th grade)

How to Vote

In the morning, students and teachers will vote for what they think is the best carved pumpkin. They’ll make 3 to 5 selections.

In the afternoon, voting up will be opened for all students in the gymnasium and the top 3 pumpkins will be selected.

The winning students (3 in total) will be awarded with amazing prizes! Pumpkins will be provided by the school. We advise parents to carve pumpkins with their children and bring back their creations on October 31st.

Best Costume Award (3 groups in total, Primary, Middle, and High School sections)

How to Vote:

First Round: Teachers will be on the lookout for amazingly dressed students. They will select 10 names, 5 girls and 5 boys.

Second Round: Voting will then be opened up to the entire school, where they will select one boy and one girl to win based on number of votes.

Winners will receive a nice prize! Be sure to be dressed accordingly for the occasion!

In order to ensure the activity goes smoothly, parents are advised to work together with students:

① Show up to school on October 31st dressed for the occasion.

② Remind and assist children to bring in their carved pumpkin creations to the school on October 31st.

A successful Halloween event requires parents to work together with students and the school to make necessary arrangements. In the next week, Living Word Shanghai will make efforts to teach students the origins and culture of Halloween! Thank for your continued support and cooperation!
