为了鼓励学生积极阅读，培养良好的阅读习惯，新学期学校开展了一系列针对各个年级的阅读活动。每个月我们会给学生开书单建议学生阅读，针对不同年级的学生，阅读书目不同。考虑到学生学习现状，每月每个学生需至少阅读一本中文著作和一本英文著作，内容涉及文学、历史等方面。

学校建议家长们购买Kindle阅读器，以方便学生阅读，同时学校也会提供电子资源供学生下载。不建议让学生透过平板下载，因为平板可以玩游戏，而Kindle只能用来阅读，有些学生已经用了很多年，期间阅读量大增，养成很好的阅读习惯。另一方面Kindle阅读器价格比平板低，重量也比平板轻，更适合学生用来阅读课外书籍。若想购买Kindle阅读器，可以上Amazon.com或苏宁购物上多做比较。

每个月的建议书目，学生可以向班主任登记并下载。如果没有阅读器，家长就得自行购买纸质版书籍，学校无法将纸质版书目完全出借。希望各位家长也能积极配合学校的阅读活动，为学生创造良好的阅读条件并积极督促学生阅读，有时间的话可以跟学生一起阅读，增加父母与子女的共同话题，同时能够促进家庭交流。

最基本的使用方式就是用 USB 连接Kindle 和电脑，把 Kindle 当作随身碟使用，连接上电脑后，把书直接拷贝到裡面即可。完成拷贝后，退出 Kindle重新打开会发现 Kindle 开始扫描书籍，并一本本新增到阅读器内，可以直接观看也可以开始进行分类动作，让 Kindle 更容易使用。

Dear students and parents,

In order to encourage students to read actively and develop good reading habits, our school will carry out a series of reading activities for each grade. As a part of these activities we will recommend different books to students of different grades. While taking into account the current situation of students, we recommend that each student needs to read at least one Chinese book and one English book, related to literature, history etc.

The school thus advises parents to buy a Kindle Reader to further facilitate reading for students. The Kindle can only be used to read, and the school will provide electronic resources for students to download. We know that some students have already been using a Kindle device and have formed good reading habits doing so. Not only is the price of a Kindle lower than that of a tablet but it also weighs less and is far more suitable for the reading of extracurricular books. Students can register and then download the recommended books from the class homeroom teacher. If students do not possess a Reader, parents will have to buy these books on their own. We hope that parents can actively cooperate with the school's reading activities as we seek to create a better environment for students to read in. We also expect parents to read together with their children for the sake of promoting family communication.

Instructions: The school will provide files and resources and electronic books. The most basic way to use a Kindle Reader is to use an USB to connect the Kindle and your computer; the file of the book can be copied directly onto the USB device itself. After copying the file, reopen the Reader and Kindle will automatically scan for books to add to the device.
