2018年11月15日，我们迎来了上海美高双语学校(9-12年级)家长会，此次家长会旨在帮助家长了解自己孩子在美高的学习情况及校园生活。

On November 15, we welcomed the parents'meeting of Living Word Shanghai (Grade 9-12), which aims to help parents understand their children's learning situation and campus life in LWS.

下午3点，家长们已经纷纷前来，就孩子目前学业情况与各班主任老师进行了深入的沟通。家长会为各位家长和校方提供了一次亲密接触。

At 3 p.m., parents are already coming.they asked teachers who in charge of their classes about their children's current academic situation. The parents' meeting provides a close contact between parents and schools.

家长们有序进入校园，找到各自孩子所在班级，开始了环节，一对一家校沟通。了解孩子校园总体情况，包括：校园表现，学习成绩，社交范围，礼貌习惯等各个方面。

The parents entered the campus in an orderly manner, they found their children's classes, and began the first stage of communication face to face with teachers. 下午5点，校董方正先生和美方校长Mr. David Miskimen在4楼礼堂召开了家长见面会，针对高年级升学问题，给所有家长做了一次全面的介绍和分析。Mr.David Miskimen还和家长们分享了这几天在上海美高课程旁听的感受，学校的教学水平和学生们的表现都令他颇感满意。

At 5 p.m., Mr. Fong Zheng, the school director, and Mr. David Miskimen, the president of the United States, held a parents'meeting in the auditorium on the 4th floor to give a comprehensive introduction and analysis to all parents on the issue of advanced education. Mr. David Miskimen also shared with parents the experience of attending course in LWS. He was satisfied with the teaching level of the school and the performance of the students.

方正先生也在此次演讲中提到，在孩子人生观、价值观、世界观逐步形成的重要阶段，家长引导和关爱的重要性;比知识更重要的是能力，比能力更重要的是品质。引导家长真切地感受教育的力量，反思自我。让家长不仅仅是走进校园、教室，更要走进学生的思想教育中来。这些都激发了家长的关注、唤醒了家长的意识、引起了家长的共鸣。在演讲期间，家长们非常关注学生申请海外大学的问题，纷纷拿出手机记录。
