4月17日春风和煦，树木葱郁，上海美高双语学校的绿植迎风招展、欣欣向荣，和谐又静谧。本应是安静的校园，此时却人来人往，络绎不绝，好不热闹。

On April 17, the spring breeze was warm and the trees were luxuriant. The green plants of Living Word Shanghai Bilingual School were flourishing, harmonious and quiet. This should be a quiet campus, but now people come and go, an endless stream, a really busy day.

2021国际袋鼠数学思维挑战竞赛在上海美高双语学校顺利进行

这是为什么呢?原来是一项国际性的重大活动在我校同步举行。

Why?It turned out to be a major international event was held in our school.

就在上午，迎着晨曦的缕阳光，上海美高双语学校近百名学子和国内外上百万名青少年，共同参与了一场数学思维逻辑训练的盛宴——袋鼠数学思维挑战竞赛。

In the morning, facing the first rays of sunshine, nearly 100 students of Living Word Shanghai Bilingual School and millions of teenagers at home and abroad participated in a feast of mathematical thinking and logic training known as Kangaroo Mathematical Thinking Challenge activity.

竞赛在美高官方考点顺利进行

考前，教务组和众监考老师宣读考务要求，老师们严格规范执行考试流程，做到公平、公正、公开、科学、合理、有效。考试当天，孩子们早早排队进入考场并安静地做好考前准备，老师分发试卷和答题卡，提醒孩子们填好个人信息，并认真帮助孩子检查确认。

Before the examination, our Academic team and contest organizers read out the examination requirements, and the teachers strictly standardized the implementation of the examination process, so as to be fair, just, open, scientific, reasonable and effective. On the day of the test, the children queued up early to enter the test room to have a rest and prepare for the test. The teacher distributed the test papers and answer cards to remind the children to fill in their personal information and help them check and confirm.

考试开始了，孩子们精神抖擞，端坐桌前，奋笔疾书，认真完成着考试，检验着自己的学习成效。

The examination began, the children are energetic, sitting at the table, writing hard, seriously completing the examination, testing their learning effectiveness.

鼓励学生参与国际竞赛目的

逻辑思维训练在孩子学习和成长过程中发挥着越来越重要的作用。今年的试题继续突显了袋鼠数学竞赛的宗旨，用有趣生动、接近生活的题目，激发学生学习数学的兴趣，培养学生的数学思维，训练学生阅读、理解、分析和解决问题的能力。

Logical thinking training plays an increasingly important role in children's learning and growth. This year's test questions continue to highlight the purpose of Kangaroo Math competition, with interesting, vivid and close to life topics, stimulating students' interest in learning mathematics, cultivate students' mathematical thinking, and train students' ability to read, understand, analyze and solve problems.

此次，上海美高双语学校作为袋鼠竞赛官方考点，组织在校生参加全球规模的青少年数学竞赛，旨在激励学生积极探究，勇于尝试，拓宽视野，拓展能力，以赛促学。通过袋鼠数学，我们可以给孩子打开数学的一扇窗，同时可以推开更多学科的大门。

This time, as the official test center of Kangaroo Math competition, Living Word Shanghai Bilingual School organizes students to participate in the world's largest youth mathematics competition, aiming to encourage students to actively explore, have the courage to try, broaden their horizons, expand their abilities, and promote learning through the competition.
