上海美高学校同学在开学初期参加了学校组织的LWS-LWJ跨国合作课程交换项目。他们跳出地域与文化差异的限制，走出去，实地体验并深入了解美国教育、文化和生活，感受着自由、创新的美国教育理念，在深度的融入中得到了深刻的成长。在处处是课堂的项目中学习知识、学会思考。

相信很多同学对本次交流项目都很感兴趣，小编很荣幸的采访到了参与课程交流的G12 Elina Jing同学，想必他们对此次活动有很多感触!现在就由他来满足我们这些好奇宝宝的求知欲吧!看看上海美高学校学子是怎么看待与外国人交流的那些事儿。

Q：Elina同学，你为什么会选择去参加这个Global Collaboration 课程?

A：我对美国文化比较感兴趣，也想去体验一下美国本土高中的教学模式以及学校生活。

Q：Elina,why did you choose to take this Global Collaboration course?

A：I'm interested in American culture. I also want to experience the teaching styles and school life of American high schools.

Q：可以介绍一下前期准备的经验吗?

A：前期老师帮助我们一起办理签证等很多程序，虽然是个非常缓慢的过程，期间会遇到很多小插曲和困难。不过老师也非常尽心尽力，最终顺利完成。所以办理签证一定要趁早。我们去之前还提前了解了很多美国的文化，并且准备了一些小礼物带给当地住家。

Q：Can you tell us something about the experience of preparation?

A：Our teacher helped us with many procedures,such as visa processing. Although it is a very slow process, we encountered many difficulties during the process. But the teacher did his best to finish itsuccessfully. Therefore, visas must be processed as early as possible. Before we went, we learned a lot about American culture in advance and prepared some small gifts for our local homes.

Q：刚去美国有没有什么不适应的地方或者困难的地方，都是怎么解决的?

A：公共交通比较不方便，每次想去超市都要麻烦别人开车带我们去。还有刚到美国时，不知道如何与美国本土的学生进行交流，因为文化差异还有很多因素导致我们交流起来比较困难。但是我认为这种情况是很正常的，适应不同的文化事需要一些时间的。我们也在努力化解这些尴尬。

Q：Are there any difficulties when you just got to the United States? How did you solve them?

A：Public transportation is inconvenient.Every time when we want to go to the supermarket, you have to ask someone to drive us. When we first arrived in the United States, we didn't know how to communicate with local American students, because there are many factors that make it difficult for us to communicate. But I think it's normal. It takes sometime to adapt to different cultures. We are also trying to resolve these embarrassments.

Q：初到LWJ，怎样和美国高中的同学交朋友，怎么打开话题?

A：首先我进行了自我介绍，然后开始聊一些关于大学申请，流行文化相关的话题，我想通过这些来拉近彼此的关系。

Q：When you first came to LWJ, how to make friends with your classmates in and how did you start the topic?

A：First of all, I introduced myself. Then I started talking about some topics related to college applications and popular culture. I wanted to stay closer to each other through these.

Q：国外课堂氛围是如何的?和国内有什么差异?

A：课堂氛围非常活跃，经常会由课本上的知识衍生到其他事情，老师和学生们感觉更像朋友一样，老师鼓励学生开拓性思维。相对国内的教育来说，感觉在国内的课堂上会学到更多课本上的知识。而美国学校的基础设施感觉会更好一点，包括教学环境和体育场等。

Q：What is the classroom atmosphere abroad? What's the difference between China and other countries?

A：The classroom atmosphere is very active. It often derives from the knowledge in text books to other things. Teachers and students feel more like friends. Teachers encourage students to think. Compared with domestic education, I feel that I will learn more knowledge from text books in the domestic classroom. The infrastructure of American schools feels better,including the teaching environment and stadiums.

Q：你主要负责哪些议题，并对这些课程议题做了哪些功课?

A：我在此次课程中负责移民政策，性别问题，我们跟美国的学生面对面的交流，经过激烈的讨论之后，综合大家的观点，最后以PPT的形式来演示了最后讨论的结果。

Q：What topics are you mainly responsible for and what lessons have you done on these topics?

A：I am in charge of immigration policy, gender issues, face-to-face communication with American students in this course. After intense discussion, I synthesized everyone’s view and finally demonstrated the results of the final discussion in the form of PPT.

Q：这段时间在美国高中学习方面收获的是什么?

A：我想，应该每个次去国外的人刚开始都会不习惯，毕竟是次离开父母，突然来到一个陌生的环境中。美国人的思维方式以及生活习惯跟我们有很大的差异，这些都是以后出国留学需要克服的。通过这次活动，我能提前感受和体验美国生活，日后长时间一个人在那边也能更好的适应。

Q：What has been the most rewarding part of high school learning in the United States during this period?

A：I think that everyone who goes abroad for the first time will not get used to it at first. After all, it is the first time to leave their parents and suddenly come to a strange environment. The way of thinking and living habits of Americans are quite different from ours, which we need to overcome in the future when we go abroad to study. Through this activity, I can feel and experience American life ahead of time, and I will be able to adapt better to it for a long time in the future.

Q：分享一件在美国让你印象最深刻的事情吧!

A：我觉得美国是个很热爱体育的民族，对运动的热爱无处不在。任何时候都能见到他们神采奕奕、精力充沛健身的身影，而且美国学校和当地学生都很重视运动。

Q：Share one thing that impresses you most in America.

A：I think the United States is a sports-loving nation. The love of sports is everywhere. They can be seen at any time with great energy and fitness, and American schools and local students attach great importance to sports.

Q：除了学习，日常生活的话，你都参与了哪些有趣的活动呢?

A：虽然只在美国呆了一周，但是那边的活动真的非常多。我们去打了保龄球，参观了威斯康辛麦迪逊大学，看电影，逛美术馆，看了篮球赛，还去芝加哥参观了景点玩密室逃脱，还去看了美国第二大的橄榄球球场。平时除了上课，日常生活还是很充实的!

Q：What interesting activities have you participated in besides study and daily life?

A：Although I only stayed in the United States for a week, there are so many activities there. We went bowling, Wisconsin Madison University, movies, galleries, basketball matches, and Chicago, where we visited scenic spots, escaped from secret rooms, and the second largest football field in the United States. In addition to class, everyday life is still very full!

Q：这几天的交流生生活，给你的感悟，或者给你带来转变是什么?

A：和美国同学相比，我觉得可能要更注意养成多运动的好习惯，身体健康和学习是同步进行的。毕竟有强健的身体，这样才能应付以后的繁重功课!

Q：What's the greatest inspiration or change that you'vehad in your life these days?

A：Compared with American students, I think weshould pay more attention to the habit of getting more exercise. Physical health and learning go hand in hand. After all, there is a strong body, so that we can cope with the heavy work in the future!

Q：你对之后想去美国做交流生的同学有什么寄语吗?

A：学弟学妹们，在去美国后，不要排斥和外国人聊天，不要抱着消极的交流态度，一定要主动去跟别人沟通，试着打开自己的交际圈，这可以拓展你的视野，你会发现不一样的世界。还有就是在和他人相处中，尊重他人的生活习惯以及他国文化，文化没有对错，“求同存异”才是目的。这样会让你生活得更加愉快。

Q：Do you have any messages for the students who want to go to the United States as exchange students?

A：After going to the United States, don't exclude chatting with foreigners, don't hold a negative attitude of communication, must take the initiative to communicate with others, try to open up your own circle of communication, this can expand your horizons, you will find a different world. There is also respect for other people's living habits and other cultures. There is no right or wrong culture. Seeking common ground while reserving differences is the purpose. This will make your life more enjoyable.
