2019年8月29日，上海美高双语学校马桥新校区迎来了首批学生。在家长的陪同下，孩子们怀着对高中生活美好的憧憬和希冀，踏入了梦寐以求的高中校园。

On August 29, Living Word Shanghai welcomed the first batch of students from Maqiao Campus. Accompanied by their parents,the children stepped into the dream high school campus with a beautiful visionand hope for high school life.

新生报到

时值盛夏酷暑，学校相关部门已经做了充分的准备工作，高中班主任老师早早在教室等候新生到来，外教们也加入了迎新的队伍中，校园内洋溢着新生来校报到的喜庆氛围。带着期盼的眼光打探着学校的一切，他们逐渐加入了上海美高这个快乐生活﹑幸福成长的大家庭。

It was midsummer and hot summer. The relevant departments of school had made full preparations. The home teachers of high school waited for the arrival of new students in the classrooms as earlyas possible. Foreign teachers also joined the team to welcome new students. The campus was filled with the festive atmosphere of new students coming to school.Looking forward to everything in the school, they gradually joined the happylife and growth of LWS family.

美高的教师志愿者们引领新生办理注册报到手续，并为他们解答疑问。温暖的微笑，耐心的讲解，细致的引导是这次迎新工作的关键词，高效有秩序是本次迎新工作的亮点。

LWS teacher volunteers lead freshmen toregister and answer questions for them. Warm smile, patient explanation and meticulous guidance are the keywords of this reception work. Efficiency andorder are the highlights of this new job.

班主任与每一位学生家长进行了亲切交谈，告知新生家长加入家长群，及留下班主任方式，便于更好的为新生服务。新生家长对老师们的热情服务和真诚交谈十分肯定，表示把学生送到学校很放心。

Hometeachers have a cordial conversation with each student's parents, inform parents to join the group of them and leave home teacher’s contact information, so as to better serve the freshmen. Parents of freshmen were very positive about the teachers' warm service and sincere conversation, and expressed their confidencein sending students to school.

耐心引导学生报到

临近中午，新生家长们全部就坐。家长会在Cici老师的主持下正式开始。接下来，上海美高校董方正先生、校长孟永根为了使新生家长进一步了解学校的发展概况，与家长建立良好的沟通关系，搭建家校联手培育学生的良好平台，并以自身为例，从办学理念、师资、管理、环境等多个方面对学校做了详细的介绍。希望家长们相信学校，相信老师，转变观念，与学校共同做好学生的教育和培养。

Nearnoon, all the parents were seated. The parents' meeting officially began under the chairmanship of Cici. Next, Mr.Fang and Mr.Meng, the principal of LWS, setup a good platform for home-school cooperation to cultivate students in order to make the parents of freshmen understand the general situation of school development, establish a good communication relationship with parents, and take themselves as an example, do something about the school from the aspects ofschool-running idea, teachers, management, environment, etc. Detailed introduction is given. We hope parents believe in schools, teachers, change yourideas, and do a good job with schools in the education and training of students.

随后，高中部教学总监Alex老师就课内学习与考试、学校教学风格、英语学习、课程设置等进行了细致的讲解。各任课老师们也对自己负责的学科做了详细介绍，分享学习方法。

Afterwards,Alex, the teaching director of high school, gave a detailed explanation on in-class learning and examination, school teaching style, English learning and curriculum design. Subjuct teachers also gave a detailed introduction to the subjects they were responsible for and shared their learning methods.

本次家长会的召开，为美高新生们即将开始的高中生活在身心与习惯上做好充分的准备。以良好的精神面貌迎接新的机遇与考验，顺利做好新环境的过渡和适应;也使家长与学校能够有效沟通，相互理解与支持。
