一转眼，两个月的暑假已过半。假期里，学生们忙着自己的暑期生活。学校也没闲着，今年暑假上海美高双语学校进行了暑期改造，包括对足球场、游泳池等硬件设施进行整修等工作。

畅游夏天——2个游泳池

为了完善体育设施，给同学们更多的运动选择，美高在暑假期间修建了两个常温游泳池：一大一小，一圆一方，长宽分别为25m*10.5m和 13m*6.4m。

In order to improve the school’s sports facilities and give students more sports options, Living Word Shanghai school has been building two swimming pools starting from the beginning of the summer vacation: 25m*10.5m and 13m*6.4m in size, respectively.

泳池内有标准的消毒和水循环设备，池内水深1.2m，这一切都确保了游泳者的安全。

There are changing rooms and bathhouses along the edge of the pool, standard sterilization and water circulation facilities, all of which ensure the safety of swimmers.

乐享踢球——足球场翻新

过去一学期，足球场由于使用率较高，出现了场地老化等问题。暑假期间，学校启动了对足球场的维修改造。

In the past semester, due to the high utilization rate of the football field, there been some problems with the aging of the field. During the summer vacation, the school has started repairing and reforming the football field.

足球场翻新

所有草皮全部翻新，并采用EPDM环保型绿色缓冲颗粒，有效保护运动者的脚踝关节。足球场翻新后，不仅可以满足学生平时的训练，还可以作为足球比赛的标准场地。

All the sod will be refurbished, and EPDM green buffer granules will be used to protect students’ ankles from impact. After the renovation of the football field, it will not only serve as a training field for students during class hours, but also serve as a standard venue for football matches.

三项全能——空中运动场

新学期开始，学生们将会拥有一个全新的室外空中体育场了。

At the beginning of the new term, students will have a new outdoor air stadium.

它位于教学楼楼顶，可作为网球场、羽毛球场、篮球场使用。4.8米高的围栏可以有效保护学生们的安全。从此，屋顶不仅可以吹风唱歌看日落，还可以打球了。

It is located in the top of the teaching building and can be used as a tennis court, badminton court and basketball court. The 4.8-meter-high fence can effectively protect students' safety. From then on, the roof can not only sing and watch the sunset, but also play ball.
