2018年8月28日，怀着对新学期美好的憧憬和向往，上海美高双语学校的新老同学们共同踏入美高校园，进行新学期开学报到。

On August 28, with hope and longing for the new semester, old and new students alike came to Living Word Shanghai ahead of the start of the new semester.

正午过后，各位同学和家长们就陆续来到学校。此前，学校各部门的工作人员已经对报到工作进行了周密的安排，以确保能够为学生和家长提供高效便捷的服务。

Students and parents arrived at the school in the afternoon. In the morning, staff in each department of the school made arrangements to assist in the registration process to ensure that students and parents would be able to enjoy an efficient and convenient registration process.

报到现场，学生们热情高涨，有的是家长陪同，有的是同学结伴同行，有的是独自前往。在老师的组织和引导下，同学们签到、领取材料包、领取校服、办理饭卡……报名工作有序进行，高效便捷，获得了学生和家长的一致认可。

Students were enthusiastic; some came accompanied by parents, some accompanied by classmates, and some came alone. Under teachers’ guidance, students signed in, picked up information booklets, collected their school uniforms, and collected their student ID cards. Registration work was efficient and convenient and recognized by students and parents.

完成报到后的同学和家长提前来到自己的教室与本班的班主任进行交流沟通，班主任也早已经将教室布置好，等着学生们的到来，师生互相交流，期待即将开始的新学期。

After registration, students and parents proceeded to their classrooms to communicate with their homeroom teachers. Homeroom teachers had already arranged their classrooms and were waiting for students' arrival. Teachers and students communicated with each other and spoke of their aspirations for the coming semester.

随后，新生家长会在报告厅举行，Nicole老师和Aaron老师向在场的各位同学和家长介绍了Gradelink系统的使用方法和学校的各项规章制度。

Afterwards, the new students' parents' meeting was held in the lecture hall. Nicole and Aaron introduced the use and functions of the school’s Gradelink system and the school's rules and regulations to all new students and parents present.

针对住宿生，晚间学校还将特别开展住宿安全大会，向同学们普及安全知识。

Boarding students will additionally undergo additional information sessions involving dormitory safety and living standards.
