We’d like to warmly congratulate our 11thgrade Student Clubs President, Mandy Zhang, as well as the Vice President,Richard Li, on their success in placing first and winning the “Outstanding CEO”award at the business leaders’ summit. Tim Li, another Living Word student, wasalso awarded with the best product award!Cytheria Shen was also awarded the best investor award!

As society progresses into the future,business has long been a contributing factor towards this success. A businesscompetition is a simulation of a how a business would really be run in the realworld; it provides experience and allows students to understand what vitalbusiness terminology means, such as a business model. Students are able tounderstand the ever-changing world of business and have a feel for the brightfuture of the business world.

This business tournament was held inShanghai and is currently the only authorized competition location in Shanghai.Living Word Shanghai is proud to have been able to receive 2 CEO awards and abest product award!

Thecompetition also required students to participate in teams to develop, import,and export products around the world. As well as with online management aspects,students will learn to make decisions that influence their business and willalso make financial decisions simulating formal fiscal years.

Sucha competition requires that students are able to flex their creativity, theircommunication skills, and language ability. It also requires them to makeconscious decisions in regards to their products and their development.Overall, the entire operation requires a strong sense of leadership andorganizational skills!

Although the focus of the competition is onbusiness, the requirements from students and on their multi-faceted talents arestill high. The vision of the competition and our school is the same; to trainand develop international minded leaders from all walks of life.

At Living Word Shanghai, in an effort tolet students develop and learn comprehensively, we spare no effort in hostingand accommodating a wide range of activities, including dormitory andcharitable activities. All of these activities are ultimately accommodated inorder for our students to become leaders in whatever they do in the future!
