听闻古蒂会来上海美高双语学校，2017年7月17日一大早，上海美高双语学校门口就聚集了众多家长、媒体、粉丝。作为西班牙皇家马德里在中国唯一的青少年合作基地。美高学校已经是第四年主办皇马青少年足球训练营了!上午十点，期待已久的2017年美高皇马足球夏令营开球仪式在上海美高学校隆重举行，皇马传奇球星“金狼”古蒂亲临现场开球!以下是本次开球现场英文报道：

As the Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience’s only partner in China, Living Word Shanghai was proud to host for the 4th time the Real Madrid Foundation Football Summer Camp. On the morning of July 17th, the Summer Camp was officially kicked off by Guti, a former Real Madrid football star!

In attendance was the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council director Mr. Li Wen Hui; deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office Mr. Wang Li Xin; CPPCC Vice Chairman Mr. Pan Jin Ping; Taiwan Affairs Office Director Mr. Wang Yue; President of the General Exchange Association of Taiwan Mr. Li Zheng Hong; Taiwan Minhang District Affairs Office director Mr. Zhang Hai Ping; deputy director of the Minhang District Bureau of Education Mrs. Qiao Hui Fang; and Huacao Town board member Mrs. Liu Li Jun. Former Chinese footballer and Shanghai Shenhua Football Club Mr. Cheng Yao Dong also participated in the opening ceremony for the 2017 Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience Football Summer Camp.

During opening remarks, President of Living Word Shanghai, Mr. Edward Jan Fang, reviewed the history of partnership between Living Word Shanghai and the Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience. He also placed expectations for this year’s 2017 Summer Camp.

He expressed continued interest in wanting the Summer Camp to be held at Living Word Shanghai, and hopes that the football training programs can be integrated into the education vision of the school.

Living Word Shanghai promotes the holistic development of students, encouraging them to actively participate in activities and to discover their own strengths and passions.

Mr. Fang concluded by calling on people to regard football not as simply a small part of life, but to make it a larger and more important part of their lives. He hopes that football will be able to blend itself as an essential part of China’s educational vision.

Guti followed up with remarks and noted how much football has grown in popularity lately in China. He hoped that growth in the industry can continue to rise as economic progress is made while training youth at the same time.

This is the 2nd time that Guti has visited Living Word Shanghai’s campus to help kick-off the Summer Camp. Previously a Real Madrid vice-captain, his football skills are unquestionable. He has made over 500 appearances for Real Madrid in his 14-year career. After retiring from Real Madrid, his presence and influence in the football world has not stopped.

Living Word and Real Madrid

Real Madrid Foundation has decided to focus on youth training in China so that more Chinese kids can fall in love with the sport and experience the Real Madrid Foundation training methods. After much research and investigation, Real Madrid Foundation has chosen to work with Living Word Shanghai as the only official partners in China. Their education methods are in-line with China’s educational ideals.Living Word Shanghai is a well-renowned school in Shanghai. First-class teaching facilities and a strong academic program, the aim is to educate future leaders from all walks of life.

At the opening ceremony, 25 students were awarded their scholarships. They were all energetic and excited to have been given these scholarships.

Mr. Pol Sagues, representative of the Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience introduced the Summer Camp’s systems. Mr. Cheng Yao Dong also made remarks and expressed his hope that he would have the opportunity to work together with Guti and noted that there is still a long way to go for youth football in China.

Afterwards, the opening ceremony officially kicked off and Guti as well as Mr. Li Wen Hui, Mr. Wang Li Xin, and Mr. Pan Jin Ping took the lead to officially open the ceremony. With a swift kick, Guti dashed forward and officially kicked off the ceremony and Summer Camp!

Participants and enthusiastic fans were able to get autographs and photos with Guti, in a seemingly never-ending stream.

Afterwards, a photo was taken with Guti and all the camp’s trainees.

Living Word Shanghai and the Real Madrid Foundation Summer Camp hope to provide all trainees and, by extension, China, an authentic Spanish football experience. By promoting football activities in Shanghai and creating a good atmosphere for football training, the success of the Summer Camp is only a portion of a wonderful educational journey.
