“新的起航，心的期待”。为让新教师们更快地融入上海美高双语学校，更好地成长，以确保新学期教育教学工作科学、规范、有序开展。2017年8月15日，上海美高学校新学年新教师培训正式拉开帷幕。其中有具有多年管理教学经验的中方优秀教师，也有充满激情与活力的外籍教师，虽然他们有着不同的教育背景和工作经验，但却因为同一个教育梦欢聚美高，在这个秋意渐浓的暑期化身“学生”，充电成长。

Living Word Shanghai’s August is a busy one with new and returning teachers settling into the school’s multicultural educational environment.

Living Word Shanghai was very pleased to welcome its new teaching staff this year for a lengthy orientation session starting on August 15th. New teachers include experienced and qualified bilingual teachers and identically qualified expatriate teachers. Although all of them come from different educational, professional, and cultural backgrounds, they all nonetheless share Living Word’s goal of providing a quality of education found nowhere else.

Orientation is especially important in order to adequately prepare teachers for the upcoming semester and to ensure that they are familiar with the school’s educational vision, culture, philosophy, standards, services, and policies. All teachers are required to participate and ensure they are familiar with the aforementioned details.

Orientation continues nonetheless!

Teaching is a continuous and evolving process. Living Word encourages teachers to communicate regularly together to share their own experiences and achievements with one another. Professional education experts were consulted and invited to the school to offer their own insights and answer any questions teachers may have.

Orientation not only serves to familiarize teachers with the school, but allows them to interact with each other, bounce ideas off each other, and begin a partnership that may endure throughout the semester. Living Word is happy to be able to provide these teachers with a platform for them to challenge themselves and succeed in a multicultural learning environment. We all look forward to the next day of orientation!
