THIS Admissions Policies

• Students applying for Tsinghua International School must hold

- a foreign passport with a valid visa (minimum 2 months length of residing in China)

- a Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan permanent residence ID card with a travel permit

• Students who are admitted to Tsinghua International School must live with at least one parent or legally appointed guardian in Beijing

• Students applying for Grade 1 must be 6 years old on or before September 1st of their first academic year

• For students who are transferring to Tsinghua International School, their grades will be considered and decided according to their most recently completed grade and their calendar age.

• Students who are applying for Grade 9, 10 and 11 can attend initial interview via Skype if the students are not in China.

How to Apply

Please follow the outlined steps to apply for Tsinghua International School:

1. Make an appointment by

calling /62797000 or email to this@mail.tsinghua.edu.cn

to book a school tour and initial interview (minimum two days in advance).

2. Please click here to download the application form and document list. Provide completed application form and all the required documents when attend initial interview.

3. Once students are qualified for the initial interview, admission officer will arrange the time and date for ESL interview. Applicants of Grade 9,10 and 11 must take the Math proficiency test on the same day.

4. Application fee (1000RMB, cash only & non-refundable) should be paid before the student attends the ESL interview.

5. Each candidate will evaluated by the admission officer, ESL examiner and School Principals. The student will be informed as the application has been reviewed and determined.
